Best of Luck!
It was quite an emotional team huddle today where both our SME (subject matters expert) & manager were quite overwhelmed with the end of our colleague (& friend), Sharon's two year term with the 'Pay/No Pay' Team.
Even though she was a replacement filler for our girl, Samira (who came back and on the left), she became quite invaluable to our team whenever anyone had questions or concerns!

In the Defy Gravity July 2022 News at U of T Alumni and Friends email that was received this morning, I watched an approximate hour long video link exchange where
President Zelenskyy spoke with Canadian university students at a U of T event with 11 other Canadian universities (University of Alberta, University of Calgary, Dalhousie University, University of Nova Scotia, University of Montreal, University of Prince Edward Island, Queens University, University of Saskatchewan, University of Waterloo, Wilfred Laurier and Western University) that took place back on June 22. 2022.Universities across our country have responded to your call of action. Many of them, including the University of Toronto, are welcoming students and faculty from Ukraine - and because we are inclinded to build bridges rather than walls, we have also forged strong partnerships with leading universities in Ukraine.' - President Gertier

'We shall prevail against all the odds for the free and democratic future.
By standing up for our country and ensuring strong security aspects, we lay the foundation of the country that will become different after the full-fledged agression.'
It was hosted and organized by U of T's President Meric Gertier and the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy who were deeply honoured that Zelenskyy took the time to speak with the students at U of T and at universities across our country.
Peter Loewen, director of U of T's Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy also spoke before Chrystia Freeland, Canada's deputy prime minister and finance minister introduced President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Since I'd moved to my new place at the beginning of the year, Fayewood and I stopped by our past highschool neighbourhood for a coffee date at Aroma yesterday! We had a very much needed catch up...a little bit of an unexpected (? only because this isn't a first) surprise but needless to say, due to our conversation I can only wish for the best. It was a necessary discussion and I hope my opinion has given fresh insight on how to possibly steer the situation.
After my coffee date, went window shopping with the fam down

and checked out Benkei Hime with my norm fav taro bbtea!

Followed The Queen's Jubilee year celebrations watching the CBC News Special: The Queen's Platinum Jubilee - Trooping the Colour' and Party at the Palace concert with performances from Elton John, Queen + Adam Lambert, Rod Stewart, Alicia Keys and a nice finale from Diana Ross in the evening.
Binge-watched the second season of 'The Flight Attendent' today. Although, I still think it's a strange series but it has Kaley Cuoco, T.R. Knight, Rosie Perez, Zosia Marmet and Cheryl Hines as incentive to follow.
Now ending the weekend with the 2022 MTV Movie and
TV Awards with Vanessa Hudgens and DJ Snoop Dogg! #MTVAwards

Then today I was able to watch the last three episodes of The Ellen Degeneras show, signaling an end to another show (Craig Ferguson's Late Late Show and now James Corden has given his year of notice that his version of the Late Late Show is ending) I enjoyed following...

After watching apple made Coda, I agree with the movie's praise with the amazing performances and wonderful representation of the actors in the deaf community!

Jacob Moran sang an astounding rendition of Katy Perry's Rise in front of Katy, Lionel & Luke in the most recent episode of American Idol & received a standing ovation from Katy (as well as a golden ticket)...wow!
Update from watching Mar 22 episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, I learned that this movie is a great showcase to people in the deaf community! What a great collaboration.
One sidenote is that I hadn't realized the difference between watching the film with captions as opposed to seeing and hearing the sign interpretor's (coda's) on Drew's show is breathtaking!

Excellent way to start the weekend... :)
Sunday evening update:
Enjoyed a wonderful sushi buffet lunch with mom
while dad spent the day working on a work deployment
Also caught 'The Adam Project' starring such recognizable names (not going to lie, it's the names that caught my attention...) of Ryan Reynolds, Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner and Zoe Saldana; as well as Walker Scobell and Catherine Keener.
An intruiging storyline following a pilot who's able to time travel (to more then one time frame) which happens to weirdly give him the ability to encounter his younger self and change the course of history in order to destroy the ability to time travel and set future 'right'.
Definitely worth watching on Netflix!

International Women’s Day
In addition for a bit of unexpected excitment today...
After being picked up from work, driving along the street heading towards other appointments a car honked a warning and made hand signals that apparently we had a flat tire.
Interesting considering no car light signal projected anything.
Ended up driving a bit more, stopping by a plaza & calling CAA.
We've since had an Asian (as luck would have it, lol!) handyman stop by, fill the tire and now we're on our way to dinner at the Monte Carlo hotel before heading home.
First time for everything, I suppose.
