Great Performances PBS

Now Hear This: Rachmanioff Reborn - PBS
At the age of 44, Rachmanioff changes careers, embracing modern technology and reinventing himself as a modern American artist.
It's been some time since I've attended a TSO show and I always relish taking in some classical music! I hadn't realized how much I miss playing and listening to classical music as I watched this recording on the life of this artist. It was nice reminising on past indulgences and kind of scratched a type of itch.

It was especially sweet to hear both piano and violin performances!

What a lovely celebration day beginning with a free venti pumpkin spice latte I'd picked up from Starbucks before work! (VERY convenient that there's one steps from the office!)

Because Monique (the manager) wasn't in the office today, she'd stopped by my desk yesterday to present me with a card that another manager (Suzy, who's currently on vacation) had HANDMADE (with a bluey-green background with daisy's bc she'd asked me previously) that everyone on the team had signed! It was very heartwarming to take in and feel the appreciation!

I lunched with Lorrie (who's first day back after her recent vacay) and one of our newer teammate's (Elena) who so graciously looked up a dessert called Tanchulu (it's strawberries and bananas coated with chocolate sauce (yum!), went out and purchased for me! Feeling the love and embrace from everyone!! Especially from friends and loved ones!!!

No win situation

I'm very unhappy with this situation...

So visited Ames & treated her (mom & dad) to dins at The Keg off the Esplanade. As I'm at the age where I must take pills in the morning (after brekkie) & evening (after dins), I'm resigned to 'prepping' everything to help in not forgetting. Such that I had taken pills out & left them on my side dish during appetizers so I could take them with my main dish, right? Well, I'm SOOOOO lucky to get this waiter who CLEARED said dish while I didn't notice until after tge fact. SERIOUSLY?!?!?! I've been in quite a mood since...so long that I've decided I needed to write this off of my chest (here's hoping). ps. even though I could have taken another set of pills once I'd returned home...my pride has helped me to decide (wtf) so no go.

Love in Harmony Summer Concert Presented by the Emmanuel Chamber Choir

Music Director - Dr. Daphne Hsu
Accompanist - Dr. Karen Lam
June 27th, 2026 at 7:30pm All Saints' Chinese Anglican Church

Louie had reached out to me about attending this concert that Karen was accompanying the Choir which her mom was singing with last month. It was very thoughtful of him to think of me and I accepted this kind offer!

A wonderful evening of singing English/French/Chinese songs and the best part was the fact that I was sitting in Karen's direct line of vision of where she was sitting to follow the cues of the conductor...and it was a wonderful surprise to have shown up at the event!

I look forward to our meeting up again soon to chat about the move in Brampton with Patrick and Nicholas!

FIFA start

This day needs to be remembered NOT because FIFA's begun (a game's in progress here in Tdot NOW) but because I made it home in about a half hour since getting off at 4 & being picked up 5 mins later).

THAT is the unbelievable speed to get home BECAUSE of said game (there was minimal vehicles going northbound om the DVP BUT soooo much traffic going into the city)...so YES this fantastic and surprising speed in returning home on a Friday needs to be noted.

THANKS FIFA!!!!!

Doors Open: Aga Khan Museum

This weekend is featuring the Doors Open event where the public is welcome to explore Tdot's buildings for free!

I FINALLY took this opportunity to check out my neighborhood art museum: The Aga Khan Museum, a museum of featuring Islamic art that also has a mosque attached to it.
What makes this more poignant is because many times that I'm on my way TO or from the office during the week, my ride passes by th Aga Khab mosque to pick up or drop off a rider and I've always been so intrigued to check it out! ...

NOW, I can check mark THAT off my to-do bucket list!!!

What was even better was the sushi lunch at Robo Sushi afterwards...yum!!!
