I finished reading Bill Clinton's various memoirs in 'Citizen' and it was refreshing to read his reminiscing so many events that occurred during and after his presidency. Granted, everything is documented in the news so nothing was new but he's a very smooth writer. It was a nice reminder to the events that occurred during his time in office.

He included a variety of photo memories at the end of the memoir and I'm including this one that I related to when he and Hillary were with World Central Kitchen founder, chef Jose Andre after a natural disaster. The chef and his organization is so influential in it's important and critical aid relief after worldwide humanitary crises.

TGIF Candlelight: Coldplay & Imagine Dragons

Met up with fellow past coworker, Dylan for a wonderful dinner and Candlelight show of my fav bands! #Coldplay #ImagineDragons #RoyalTheatre #CafeDiplomatico

The fun part was that I'd deliberately arrived slightly earlier so that I could scope out the area...and after strollind past the theatre, I'd inadvertantly picked Dylan up and we'd walked by Wonder Pens where I did some stationary shopping at Wonder Pens .

#searchingformexico

I've been drooling over Eva Longoria's 6 episode CNN show that she produced with American actor and author Stanley Tucci. It's definitely peaked my travel and taste buds!

Christie Pitts deja vu

The last time since I'd been in the Christie Pitts area was back in my early uni days and some SMCSU reps lived in that area so it would be the only reason to go over to that park! ;)

As I was dropped off a few minutes early, checked out a cutsey gift shop called 'Hanji Gifts' where I picked up some stickers that I plan to brighten up my upcoming letters that I send to Gia!
It’s been awhile since Mich & I caught up since our first meeting in 🇯🇵!!! #damda

Hibachi Teppanyaki & Bar

After dropping Dad at Fairview subway so he went to catch the game tonight with Ames, mom & I had sushi for dins (we decided to go plain and simple as opposed to the teppanyaki frying because it was just us two).

However, we shared a teppanyaki table with another family (as we were literally the first customers, surprised? lol!) and ended up leaving with a whole smoke smell as the other party ordered the whole deal (& thus STILL caught a free show!).

Easter Monday mail out on it’s way!

As it's been a bit since I've sent my niece (via my sister from another mother) a letter with poetry phrases from iconic poems so I took the time to prepare a letter yesterday with Easter Joy by Lenore Hetrick. I'd like to pat myself on the back for my intuition as I was able to stop by the Shoppers at CenterPoint Mall to mail it out while waiting for mom during her physio appt this morning.

I had given S a heads up when the idea occurred so I took a snapshot of the drop off as proof! ;) that it's in the mail and now up to our mailing service to follow through! Also included a cute list of things learned from the Easter bunny!

TGI(Good)F

for a zoo visit!!!
Of course, I ended the visit with a jelly bean bag treat that really DOES taste like pancakes and syrup (I've literally only had a couple so planning to slowly go through the bag).

I treated mom out tonight to hear a candlelight string quartet performance
of my fav Coldplay songs!
I say 'treat' because I had paid for the entire outting as she didn't want me to attend all by myself, which I really didn't see any issue with...but hey (shrugs), it's MY HAPPY PLACE!!!!

A thrill ride (?)

Let me preface with a disclaimer that the WheelTrans service has changed so much (for the good) since I began using it oh so long ago...

My original p/u was at 6:30 and eta was around 7:45. However, I've found that if I randomly check the website, on occasion an option to check if there are earlier p/u's buttom is available. This morning there WAS and after clicking on it, the option of a 5:55 p/u came up (which I clicked because why not? lol). So I was able to change my p/u to 6:05 (expected altho the actual time was listed as 6:14) Granted the ride arrived closer to 6:20 BUT the driver seriously drove like a mad person on the dvp/gardiner so I literally arrived by 6:40!

So, I'm here and my nerves are excited! Let's see how the day goes (as this week's already been a bit of a shocker, what with a very unexpected loss of a long time coworker...)

Valentines wishes!

The office distributed these delightful treats preemptively on Weds but I plan to share them with Ames tomorrow when we meet up for an early dinner!

STILL, it's nice to share the love!

Lazy day/weekend

It's definitely been decades since I've had a stay at home day/weekend...it was supposed to be a nice low key day (dad & Ames at a Scotiabank game now) and we (including myself and mom) were going to stay the night at her place. However, I've caught a cold...that's REALLY kind of taken me out....literally!

It's mainly a sore throat (which makes me sound hoarse IF I speak...) granted it's cleared up during the day after having consumed many cups of ginger tea and much blowing my nose.

I'm also feeling super tired so I've been lazing around in bed, napping several times of the day and hopefully I'll have gotten this out of the system to be better enough for work come Monday (got to give my body props for choosing the 'best' time to get ill, lol).

Luckily, I hadn't any plans this weekend so I've also been going through my 'recordings' (haha), as well as catching the Hollywood Roundtable Actresses online. Personally, I enjoyed watching in action than when I read it online yesterday!
