I joined Fayewood in signing up for the CIBC Run for the Cure that taking place on Sunday October 4th. Similar to the Mon Sheong Fun Run & Walk, participants fill in their own time and fundraise on their own.  I've included my fundraising information (https://support.cancer.ca/site/TR/RunfortheCure/RFTC_NW_odd_?px=13524152&pg=personal&fr_id=27307) and the extra steps I put in after meeting up with Faye for an outdoor socially distant evening walk this evening.

  

After returning home, I'm catching the TIFF Tribute Awards #TIFF20 with appearances by Ava DuVernay, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Shawn Mendes, Olivia Colman, Colin Farrell, Jodie Foster and Kate Winslet

Went to see Karen at Art Runway, Pacific Mall for a hair cut and bang trim yesterday!  

      

Afterwards in the evening, caught up with my Abbeyite girlfriend's for a zoom catch up! I love that we can all still make this work even though the group of us are split between two continents! Mind you, distance makes the heart super fond of each other.  😉

Because it was forecast to rain this morning, I took the opportunity to 'sleep-in' 👻...well, ok NOT REALLY but no matter...took this time to catch the movie,  Just Mercy with Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Foxx, Brie Lawson amongst the main draws (besides the storyline) that drew me in...I was very glad to have caught it!

As the day cleared up in the early arvo, I decided to go for my walk around 1pm...which retrospectively wasn't the smartest idea as with the sun fully out, was sweltering out (something I normally bypass when I walk as the sun is coming up...so that the heat hasn't really hit yet, but details...).  HOWEVER, instead of heading to the park in this said sun-filled area, I headed down a sheltered laneway into a street with townhouses, which was a perfect walkway for me as the townhouses were tall enough to give me much needed shade! 

After going to visit Ames and Mr. Trudeau for sushi dinner (yaaasss!!!), am spending the rest of the evening watching some episodes of  Songland - with Luis Fonsi and H.E.R. as well as catching The Masked Singer - Special Season Four Sneak Peek as well as hopefully starting 'Why Women Kill' series (that began last week).

Wow, this week's gone by like a blur!!!

Last Friday, had a wonderful and much needed 2 hour WhatsApp convo with bestie, Shelley! The only downside was that the chat went by sooooooo fast....WHHHHHHHAAAT?!?!?!?!!!

• A&E Biography: I want my MTV - where the special documentary charted the rise of the cultural phenomenom that define's my generation. What started as playful music video lineups (that in full disclosure, I watched while running on my treadmill!), evolved to reflect the North American youth culture (pointedly the American youth culture). It's craycray how MTV pushed the boundaries of art, sex, gender and race while cementing its celebrity image and at the forefront exploring new technologies!  Definitely a throwback with the revision of DJ's and MTV in general!!!

Name day drama

 

After having health drama arising beginning Sunday arvo that had been continuously on and off the following two days afterward, I made the executive decision to check into the emerg department to find out the cause as a present to myself...apparently I must be weary of sticky gallstones in the gallbladder...yay?

And this is the conclusion of my eventful day that caused me so much distress YET it's better to know...then NOT.

Update: received this in the mail two weeks later...the positive outlook is that this was my body’s way to make me feel like it’s only UP now!!!

This one hits close to home...TRIBUTE TO A KING August 28, 2020 RIP Chadwick Boseman (1976-2020)

His team has revealed that 'Black Panther', '21 Bridges', 'Avengers End Game', 'Marshall' and 'Da 5 Bloods' were all filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. Even though he will be most popularly remembered for his role as a star of Marvel's Black Panther, a film seen as a cultural milestone due to its predominantly black cast director, I am including a list of quotes from many people's lives of the current generation of stars and very known people that Chadwick Boseman has touched.  Something that I strive to leave as an ever-lasting presence:
