Be ready when the luck happens

Just finished listening to Ina Garten read her memoir 'Be Ready When The Luck Happens' that I'd borrowed from the library.
The perfect book to listen to as Ina's voice is so delightful to listen with great clarity, depth and warmth. As well, she's giving insight on her life with Jeffrey and honestly, there's no way to get anything wrong when listening to someone talk about food!!!

Critic’s Choice Awards winner!!!

Congratulations to fellow Abbeyite, Maggie Kang & Demon Pop Hunters on their Critics win!!! Even though I have yet to follow the series/films, it's special because I went to school with Maggie!!!

It's also fun that 'The Pitt' also won some awards! I'm currently in the midst of getting caught up in the series as I'm on 2pm of the first season (should be complete by this Thursday-fingers-crossed).

It’s a small world…randomness…

As one of the few people working in the office today, I managed to change my pick up ride to an earlier time that happened to be a bus.

As I happened to be the only rider in his run, we happened to strike up a conversation...in where we quickly realized how small this world is as we went to the SAME elementary school (he has a brother and friends that were in my year...as we figured he's two years younger).

After realizing this, we reminised teachers (aka Mrs. Earl, Mrs. Graham etc) and classmates. Unfortunately, this is where he informed me of the sad news that a cutie in my year (Mike Rini) had recently passed away of health conditions. :(
